Advanced gardening across the community
After a period of training, Service users may be able to join the team that works across the local community.
This is an award winning service that supports the local elderly residents in Burntwood, Hammerwich,Chasetown and Chase Terrace to live in their own homes, without the worry of their gardens getting untidy and overgrown.
Service Users will be taught top quality gardening skills which include the correct way to mow and edge a lawn, how to tell the difference between weeds and plants in our customers gardens and if confidence allows, training can be given for strimming and hedge cutting.
The gardeners load the van as a team after discussing what tools will be needed for the day and will be taught how to put the right fuel into the mowers and all the health and safety information to do the job safely and well.
